
The Fitzroy Double Black series is a new experimental revolving dark roast, produced especially for lovers of jet back, bacon-friendly, full flavor coffee lovers.
This coffee is meant for cold mornings, dawn starts, apres ski tour, and anything inbetween.
While most of our coffee offerings are exclusively single origin, the Double Black series will feature a revolving/evolving set of exclusive origins specially roasted to bring out a balanced, super dark coffee profile. The 'Edition' will change as we tweak and evolve the recipe, swap in new origins, and pursue the perfect double dark cup.
Chad's Notes:
This roast is a a rich DARK, south of Vienna, but worthy of an Italian label. Equally happy in any preparation method, or cut with the milk of your choice.
Try a 1:15 ratio (beans to water). The full body has a dark chocolate and porter malt base, with caramel and bitter end notes.
