A remarkable small lot from a woman-run family farm in Kochere, this Ethiopian bean will remind you why the Yirgacheffe region is still widely regarded for growing the best coffee on the planet.
This organic natural process bean is directly sourced from by producer Tsigue Jigso Oda from her 9 hectare family farm in Kochere. Only the ripest cherries are selected by their family for drying and export.
91 Points - with exceptional sweetness
Cupping notes: Roast almond, heavy berry, and a touch of floral (like rose); bright mouth feel with a light body and medium acidity; a cup with distinction.
Chad's Notes:
This roast is a solid Light, specifically meant to pull out the aromatic floral notes in this delicious bean. This roast is good as either a pour over or a very sweet single origin espresso.
Try a 1:18 ratio (beans to water). A very fine, sweet cup, with prominent notes of toasty almond, cocoa, ripe berries, and a hint of floral aroma that reminds me of rose. It's the one you bring to impress your friends or gift to your favorite coffee snob.
Note: We have a very limited supply of this bean (less than 40 bags)
